BIO/BACKSTORY

Probably the quietest and most introverted pony out of all his family: in fact Austin doesn't have the natural charm and outgoing personality that his cousins and mother have.

He hardly ever talks to anyone and prefers to lock himself up in the barn and work on his machines.

He only ever come out of his shell when he's working on his machines:he's certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to other things like social interactions,but he surely knows what he's doing when he's working on one of his projects:he would stay in the barn all day, 24/7 ,if his mother wouldn't come and drag him out and remind him to not starve to death.

He struggle with school,and he decided to just give up completely;he would already have dropped out of it if it wasn't for his parents aggressive efforts to help him overcome his problems,but he hasn't been so cooperative over the past years.

He is uninterested in his family ''apple'' business,but doesn't really have plans for his future either,so he just avoids the topic by answering with vague phrases.

RELATIONSHIPS

He is a total workaholic like his mother Apple Jack,but beside that,they don't have much in common.She often gets mad at him for his indifference and ''laziness'',and worries for his health since he always lock himself up for hours forgetting to eat and drink.

They drifted apart,but AJ blames it on his hormones and the fact that he is a teenager.

He tolerates more his father,due to the fact that he tends to leave him alone when he doesn't really want to speak to anyone about his problems and have way more patience with him than any other family memenber.

He used to be very close with his older sister,Sonya,but now they mostly just ignore each other.

He doesn't really acknowledge the existence of his younger siblings aswell;he doesn't do it out of malice,he just wants to be left alone.

Austin doesn't really have friends,he tags along his older sister when he's forced to have some contact with other living beings,but he doesn't see them as friends,just acquaintances.

Also he can't stand family get-togheter:he feels overwhelmed by the amount of ponies that he has to spend time with and always sneaks out when the pressure is too much.

EXTRAS

-He got his cutiemark by building is own cart for the Applewood Derby.

-He tried to help his family by creating a machine to ''buck'' the apples,but he got shot down.

-He low-key admires the Flim Flam Brothers and their machines.
